One connection away

826 airports are reachable from ADB with exactly one change, on top of the 107 nonstop. The ten below are the ones with the most frequency on the weaker of the two sectors, which is the leg that decides whether a same day connection holds. Computed from the scheduled network, not from a booking engine.

Alternate airports within reach

Airports within 400 km that also carry scheduled traffic. When a departure from ADB is cancelled or nothing suitable leaves that night, these are the options a desk looks at before it accepts a lost day.

  • Kos KGS167 km by great circle, 72 scheduled destinations
  • Rhodes RHO225 km by great circle, 117 scheduled destinations
  • Athens ATH284 km by great circle, 172 scheduled destinations
  • Istanbul SAW344 km by great circle, 143 scheduled destinations
  • Antalya AYT356 km by great circle, 182 scheduled destinations

How deep the ADB board really is

The table above says where a courier can fly from ADB. This reads the same 94 destinations back for the questions a dispatcher asks second: how much of the board rests on one airline, how much of it runs less than daily, whether the return leg is as thick as the outbound, what the clock here does to a Gulf working day and which of the destinations shut at night, all of it computed on 2026-09-07 from AeroDataBox scheduled route statistics.

  • 56of the 94 destinations are flown by one airline
  • 58destinations run less than once a day
  • 9destinations have four or more departures a day
  • 66%of the destinations name Sun Express, the largest presence here

Who holds the departures at ADB

35 airlines appear on the ADB board and they do not hold it evenly. Sun Express is on 62 of the 94 destinations, 66 per cent of them, and on 31 of those it is the only airline flying the sector. The destinations it appears on carry 91.6 of the 151.3 departures a day this airport files, though other airlines fly some of the same sectors, so read that as reach rather than as a share of the aircraft.

The next largest presence is Pegasus on 32 destinations. 20 of the 35 airlines at ADB appear on a single destination each, which is the long tail every airport carries, and none of it is a rebooking option when the sector you need is the one that fell over.

An airport held this tightly is quick to book and slow to recover: with 62 of the 94 destinations on one airline, the second aircraft on an ADB sector is usually another Sun Express aircraft, and when there is not one the desk is looking at another airport rather than another airline. That is why the alternate airports listed above matter more at ADB than the destination count does.

How much of the ADB board is daily

Of the 94 destinations, 36 are flown at least once a day and 58 are not, 11 of them running once a week or less. The median destination on the ADB board is flown 4 times a week.

An average of 0.14 flights a day is the schedule statistic, and it is worth translating it before anything is promised to anybody: ADB to Stockholm (ARN) is about one a week, so a missed departure there is not a delay of hours, it is the next slot.

The five busiest destinations carry 61.6 of the 151.3 departures a day, 40.7 per cent of the whole board. With 61.7 per cent of the 94 destinations running less than daily, this is a board that rewards booking the outbound before the collection is confirmed rather than after.

The ten destinations out of ADB where one airline holds the sector and files fewer than seven departures a week, with the weekly figure taken as the average daily rate multiplied by seven rather than as a fixed timetable. 37 further destinations sit in the same position and are listed in the board above.

The way back from ADB

The desk holds the return direction for 68 of the 94 destinations, and a courier plans the way back on those figures rather than on the outbound. On four of them the return into ADB runs thinner than the outbound by more than a quarter. The widest gaps are Bratislava (BTS) at 0.43 out a day against 0.14 back, Luxembourg (LUX) at 0.29 out a day against 0.14 back and Frankfurt-am-Main (FRA) at 6.7 out a day against 3.6 back.

It runs the other way as well: Istanbul (SAW) files 19.9 a day back into ADB against 8.1 outbound, which is the shape that strands a courier at this end rather than at the far end.

The clock at ADB

ADB keeps Europe/Istanbul time, an hour behind Dubai all year.

When it is 09:00 on a Dubai working morning it is 08:00 at ADB, so a nine to six day at each end overlaps for eight hours. That is wide enough to settle a customs question at ADB and still make a departure the same day.

The night at ADB

16 of the destinations from here carry a documented night restriction of their own, which is a departure time question at this end rather than an arrival problem at the other.

Into Frankfurt-am-Main (FRA) the door shuts at 23:00 local, so the last departure from ADB that lands inside it leaves around 20:59, on a modelled block of 3h 01m. Into Munich (MUC) the door shuts at 22:00 local, so the last departure from ADB that lands inside it leaves around 20:22, on a modelled block of 2h 38m. Into Düsseldorf (DUS) the door shuts at 22:00 local, so the last departure from ADB that lands inside it leaves around 19:45, on a modelled block of 3h 15m. Those three departure times out of ADB are worked backwards from the published window with the block time model this site uses everywhere, 720 to 880 km an hour by sector length with thirty minutes on the ground, so they are arithmetic rather than a timetable and the desk checks the published departure before it promises the landing.

Where ADB turns up on the rest of this site

The airport also sits behind the Türkiye country desk, which sets out the customs practice, the working week and the road legs behind this airport.

The site publishes 16 airport pair pages that start or end at ADB, each with the distance, the block time, the carriers on the sector and a door to door clock. The busiest are Izmir to Ankara (ESB), Izmir to Istanbul (SAW) and Izmir to Düsseldorf (DUS).

Two courier postings name ADB as the airport a courier here flies from: Izmir and Manisa.

To price a movement rather than read the board, the route calculator opens with ADB already set as the origin, and it works out the flying time, the distance and the delivery hour for any of the 94 destinations above.

Where this came from

  • Destination network, airlines and frequencies: AeroDataBox scheduled route statistics, retrieved 2026-09-07.
  • Airport names and coordinates: the OnBoard Courier airport reference list.
  • Distances: great circle, computed from those coordinates. They are not flown distances and will read short against a real routing.
  • Industrial sites: public company information. Nothing on this page states or implies that any company named is a customer of any courier operator.

Who publishes this. OnBoard Courier is a placement desk in Dubai. An assignment through ADB is carried out by a vetted partner operator, with the desk as the single point of contact from the quote to the signature. We keep the Atlas because our own desk needs it when there are twenty minutes to find a routing, and we publish it because a reference only one operator can read is not a reference. Free to read, quote and cite, including by competing operators. Found an error? Tell us and we will correct the entry.

If you need something moved rather than looked up, the desk prices a hand carry in fifteen minutes. If you fly often and want to carry, we are recruiting couriers.
