One connection away

801 airports are reachable from CTG with exactly one change, on top of the 21 nonstop. The ten below are the ones with the most frequency on the weaker of the two sectors, which is the leg that decides whether a same day connection holds. Computed from the scheduled network, not from a booking engine.

How deep the CTG board really is

The table above says where a courier can fly from CTG. This reads the same 19 destinations back for the questions a dispatcher asks second: how much of the board rests on one airline, how much of it runs less than daily, whether the return leg is as thick as the outbound, what the clock here does to a Gulf working day and which of the destinations shut at night, all of it computed on 2026-09-07 from AeroDataBox scheduled route statistics.

  • 12of the 19 destinations are flown by one airline
  • 8destinations run less than once a day
  • 3destinations have four or more departures a day
  • 26.3%of the destinations name Avianca, the largest presence here

Who holds the departures at CTG

14 airlines appear on the CTG board and they do not hold it evenly. Avianca is on 5 of the 19 destinations, 26.3 per cent of them, and on every one of them it shares the sector with someone else. The destinations it appears on carry 58.4 of the 75.7 departures a day this airport files, though other airlines fly some of the same sectors, so read that as reach rather than as a share of the aircraft.

The next largest presence is Copa Airlines Colombia on 5 destinations. 7 of the 14 airlines at CTG appear on a single destination each, which is the long tail every airport carries, and none of it is a rebooking option when the sector you need is the one that fell over.

That is a middling concentration at CTG: one airline on 26.3 per cent of the destinations and the other 73.7 per cent spread across 13 airlines. A cancellation inside the Avianca network is often survivable inside the same booking, but on the 14 destinations Avianca does not touch, a rebooking means moving to a carrier the desk has to check for a through fare first.

How much of the CTG board is daily

Of the 19 destinations, 11 are flown at least once a day and 8 are not, 3 of them running once a week or less. The median destination on the CTG board is flown about once a day.

An average of 0.14 flights a day is the schedule statistic, and it is worth translating it before anything is promised to anybody: CTG to Toronto (YYZ) is about one a week, so a missed departure there is not a delay of hours, it is the next slot.

The five busiest destinations carry 64.1 of the 75.7 departures a day, 84.7 per cent of the whole board. On that arithmetic CTG is five sectors and a short tail, so the depth on the board above is thinner than the destination count suggests and a hand carry that is not going to one of those five is planned around a single departure time.

The seven destinations out of CTG where one airline holds the sector and files fewer than seven departures a week, with the weekly figure taken as the average daily rate multiplied by seven rather than as a fixed timetable.

The way back from CTG

The desk holds the return direction for 14 of the 19 destinations, and a courier plans the way back on those figures rather than on the outbound. On none of those 14 does the return run more than a quarter thinner than the outbound, so a turnaround through CTG is a question of hours rather than of whether an aircraft exists.

It runs the other way as well: Atlanta (ATL) files 0.43 a day back into CTG against 0.29 outbound, which is the shape that strands a courier at this end rather than at the far end.

The clock at CTG

CTG keeps America/Bogota time, nine hours behind Dubai all year.

When it is 09:00 on a Dubai working morning it is 00:00 at CTG, and a nine to six day at each end does not overlap at all, so an instruction written in Dubai is read here on the following working day unless somebody is woken up.

The night at CTG

1 of the destinations from here carry a documented night restriction of their own, which is a departure time question at this end rather than an arrival problem at the other.

Into Amsterdam (AMS) the door shuts at 23:00 local, so the last departure from CTG that lands inside it leaves around 05:21, on a modelled block of 10h 39m. Those one departure times out of CTG are worked backwards from the published window with the block time model this site uses everywhere, 720 to 880 km an hour by sector length with thirty minutes on the ground, so they are arithmetic rather than a timetable and the desk checks the published departure before it promises the landing.

Where CTG turns up on the rest of this site

The airport also sits behind the Colombia country desk, which sets out the customs practice, the working week and the road legs behind this airport.

Six courier postings name CTG as the airport a courier here flies from: Barranquilla, Cartagena and Santa Marta.

To price a movement rather than read the board, the route calculator opens with CTG already set as the origin, and it works out the flying time, the distance and the delivery hour for any of the 19 destinations above.

Where this came from

  • Destination network, airlines and frequencies: AeroDataBox scheduled route statistics, retrieved 2026-09-07.
  • Airport names and coordinates: the OnBoard Courier airport reference list.
  • Distances: great circle, computed from those coordinates. They are not flown distances and will read short against a real routing.
  • Industrial sites: public company information. Nothing on this page states or implies that any company named is a customer of any courier operator.

Who publishes this. OnBoard Courier is a placement desk in Dubai. An assignment through CTG is carried out by a vetted partner operator, with the desk as the single point of contact from the quote to the signature. We keep the Atlas because our own desk needs it when there are twenty minutes to find a routing, and we publish it because a reference only one operator can read is not a reference. Free to read, quote and cite, including by competing operators. Found an error? Tell us and we will correct the entry.

If you need something moved rather than looked up, the desk prices a hand carry in fifteen minutes. If you fly often and want to carry, we are recruiting couriers.
