We are not an airline, an air carrier, a freight forwarder's substitute or an agent of any airline. We do not operate aircraft, we hold no air operator certificate, and we have no partnership, agency or contractual relationship with any carrier whose services we book. OnBoard Courier acts as a management and placement company: we take your instruction, appoint a suitable courier, arrange the necessary travel and documentation, and supervise the assignment. Carriage by air itself is performed by the operating airline under that airline's own conditions of carriage and the applicable international conventions.

Airline names, marks and codes used anywhere on this website are the property of their respective owners and are referenced only to describe routes and services factually.

These terms govern every quotation, booking and assignment we accept, unless we have signed a separate written agreement with you that says otherwise. By requesting a quotation or instructing us to arrange an assignment, you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and any party on whose behalf you are acting.

We do not accept, and we will refuse or abandon at any stage, any consignment containing: undeclared dangerous goods; controlled substances; weapons, munitions or their components without full lawful authorisation; counterfeit goods; currency or bearer instruments above the declarable threshold without proper declaration; goods subject to sanctions or export controls without a valid licence; live animals; human remains; or anything unlawful in the country of origin, transit or destination. Where a consignment is refused for these reasons, charges already incurred remain payable.

Hand-carried consignments are imported and declared like any other goods. The courier declares the consignment to the competent authority on arrival. Duties, taxes, inspection charges, storage and broker fees are for your account. We do not, under any circumstances, misdeclare, undervalue or conceal goods, and we will not accept an instruction to do so.

Transit and delivery times we quote are estimates made in good faith on the basis of published schedules. They are not guaranteed. Flight delays and cancellations, air traffic control restrictions, weather, security measures, customs inspections, strikes and other events outside our control affect them, and airline schedules may change without notice.

Once a ticket has been issued or a courier has been positioned, cancellation charges apply and reflect the costs already committed, the airfare (which is frequently non-refundable at short notice), transfers, accommodation and the courier's time. We will always tell you what is committed before you confirm.

Unless credit terms have been agreed in writing, charges are payable before departure. Invoices are payable within the agreed period; overdue amounts may attract interest at the rate permitted by UAE law. We reserve the right to withhold delivery where charges relating to the same assignment remain unpaid.

Couriers are vetted and briefed by us, and act on our instructions for the duration of an assignment. They are not agents of the client and have no authority to vary these terms, to accept additional items, or to make declarations on your behalf beyond the documentation you have supplied.

The following applies to individuals who apply to join the courier network. It does not apply to clients.

We treat the existence and content of your assignments as confidential and disclose them only to those who need to know in order to perform the assignment, the operating airline where required, customs and border authorities, brokers and our own personnel, or where disclosure is required by law.

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including airspace closures, natural events, epidemics, civil unrest, government action, sanctions, industrial action and airline insolvency.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory international convention governing carriage by air.
