Taiwanese customs are efficient and expect an accurate description. On a clean declaration clearance is quick and predictable, which is one of the reasons this desk works as well as it does despite the narrower routing choice.
Two points matter more here than elsewhere. The first is temporary admission: a very large share of the traffic is equipment going out to be repaired, tested or demonstrated and coming back, and importing it outright instead creates a cost and an argument that were both avoidable. Where an ATA Carnet fits the category it removes the question entirely.
The second is export control at origin, because a meaningful share of semiconductor-adjacent equipment and technology is controlled. We check the classification before we quote rather than after, and we will decline a movement we cannot lawfully make. Urgency does not change an export control position.
Beyond those, the ordinary requirements apply: a description that supports the classification, a defensible valuation on samples and returns, a consignee who can receive, and duty and tax treatment agreed before departure.
