Tower-lobby collections across every cluster

On board courier JLT & DMCC, collected by hand, flown in the cabin.

Three towers to a cluster, a lettered grid that confuses first-time visitors, and a basement car park that is easier to enter than to leave. We know how JLT works. Give us the cluster letter, the tower and the floor, and a courier meets you in the lobby, then travels with your consignment in the cabin to a signature at the receiving desk.

Why urgent freight starts in JLT & DMCC

JLT is where Dubai's traders sit. The DMCC free zone registers commodity businesses by the thousand, gold and precious metals, diamonds and coloured stones, tea and coffee, agricultural commodities, energy and metals trading, alongside consultancies, law and audit practices, technology firms and the small owner-managed companies that make up most of the towers' occupancy. What unites them is paper and small high-value items rather than pallets. A set of original trade documents that a counterparty's bank will only accept in physical form. A parcel of stones going to a viewing. A sealed sample for an assay. Board resolutions, share certificates and legalised corporate documents that a registry abroad wants in original. These are exactly the consignments a network handles least well: low volume, high consequence, and useless if they arrive on the wrong day. A hand-carry gives them a named custodian and a fixed arrival.

Where we collect in JLT & DMCC

Every tower has a lobby desk and almost every collection happens there. The practical variables are visitor parking, which is scarce in the clusters, and the basement loops, which are one-way and unforgiving. Naming the cluster, the tower and the floor turns a twenty-minute search into a two-minute handover.

Almas TowerGround-floor security and reception with visitor registration; the courier is issued a pass at the desk and the handover is done in the lobby rather than upstairs.
The Jumeirah Business Centre towersStandard lobby desks across several clusters, the tower name alone is ambiguous, so the cluster letter is what stops the courier arriving at the wrong building.
Gold TowerReception handover with the usual visitor sign-in; the podium parking fills early, so the courier may approach on foot from a neighbouring cluster.
Indigo TowerLobby collection; the surface bays outside are limited and enforced, which makes a prompt handover worth planning for.
Tiffany TowerReception desk pickup with a floor number needed for the visitor log; the basement entrance is separate from the lobby entrance.
Swiss TowerGround-floor handover in the usual pattern, with the courier logged in at the security desk on arrival.
Silver TowerLobby collection; the approach road serves several towers at once and slows at lunchtime and again at six.
Armada TowersThree linked towers on one podium, specify which of them, since the lobbies are separate and the internal connection is not obvious to a visitor.
Saba TowersReception handovers; the loading area is used by residents as well as offices, so a short wait is possible during moving-in hours.
Lake TerraceMixed residential and office floors with a concierge desk; residents can be met at the entrance without lift access being arranged.
Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes TowersHotel lobby collections at any hour, and a useful neutral handover point when a tower's own visitor parking has run out.
Bonnington TowerFront-desk handover in the same manner, with short-stay parking on the forecourt rather than in the basement.
DMCC Metro StationA quick, unrestricted meeting point at the edge of the clusters, often faster than bringing a vehicle into the grid at all.
The JLT lakeside promenade and cluster parksOpen-air handover points between towers, convenient in the evening when the podium car parks are full.

Buildings and venues are named as collection points only, there is no affiliation with, or endorsement by, any property or operator listed. Not on the list? The desk collects anywhere in Dubai; give the address when you request the quote.

From JLT DMCC to the runway: Emirates, flydubai and Etihad

A collection here is timed backwards from a departure board. Three of them matter.

EmiratesDWC 25-35 min · DXB 30-40 min

Terminal 3, the night bank

Between one and four in the morning Emirates pushes back a wave of widebodies from Terminal 3 that reach Europe before the first meeting and Asia by the afternoon. For JLT DMCC that wave is the reason a courier confirmed at eight in the evening is still delivering the next day.

flydubaiDXB Terminal 2

Short sectors, several a day

From Terminal 2 flydubai runs the one to five hour sectors: the Caucasus, Central Asia, East Africa, the Balkans, the subcontinent. Where a widebody leaves once a day, flydubai often leaves three times, which turns a missed slot into a ninety minute delay rather than a lost day.

EtihadAUH, about 90 min by road

Abu Dhabi as the second runway

Ninety minutes down the E11, Etihad leaves from Zayed International with its own bank of departures and, for the United States, immigration cleared before boarding. When the Dubai departure for JLT DMCC is gone, the desk looks at Abu Dhabi before it looks at tomorrow.

The desk holds no allegiance to a carrier. The booking goes to whichever board puts a courier on the aircraft first, at a fare the quote can carry.

JLT DMCC: every hour it waits is an hour it is not moving.

Five questions, one fixed price, a named flight. The desk answers within 15 minutes, day and night, and you decide.

What typically moves out of JLT & DMCC

Original bills of lading, letters of credit and trade documents for a bank counter
Sealed parcels of precious stones or metals for a viewing or an assay
Board resolutions, powers of attorney and legalised corporate originals
Certified commodity samples for a laboratory or inspection house abroad
Signed share transfers and closing documents on a transaction timetable
Passports and licences returning from an attestation or embassy appointment

The last mile, told properly

The road position is good and the building access is the slow part. From the clusters, Al Maktoum International is twenty-five to thirty-five minutes south on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11), and Dubai International is thirty to forty minutes north, though the northbound run between seven and nine in the morning routinely adds twenty. Al Khail Road (E44) is the alternative and usually worth taking towards Dubai International in the evening peak. Inside JLT the clusters are a lettered ring with a single carriageway, one-way sections and very limited visitor parking, and the basement loops are easy to enter and awkward to exit. For anything time-critical the courier will park at the podium or at the metro side and walk to your lobby, which is reliably faster than circling. Lunchtime and around six in the evening are the two worst windows for the internal roads. A mid-morning or late-evening collection is materially quicker, and a lobby handover always beats an office-floor one.

Book a courier out of JLT & DMCC

For original documents and small high-value parcels, a seat is not a luxury, it is the only method that gives you a named custodian and a fixed arrival time. Send the destination, the deadline, and the size and weight of what you are sending; a firm quote comes back within fifteen minutes, and the desk is reachable at any hour, including the weekend when a counterparty in another time zone is still working. Customs formalities are handled at both ends under your own documentation. Your consignment stays in the cabin from the JLT lobby to the receiving door, and the job closes with a signature, not a scan.

Questions about collections in JLT & DMCC

01Which details do you need for a JLT collection?

The cluster letter, the tower name, the floor and office number, and a mobile number. The clusters repeat their layouts and several towers share a name pattern, so a company name on its own is not enough. With the full set the courier goes to one lobby, registers at the desk and is back on the road quickly.

02Can you collect original trade documents at the weekend?

Yes. The desk is staffed continuously and weekend collections are ordinary work. What we cannot do is open your office for you, so somebody must be present at the tower to hand the documents over. Many clients meet the courier in the lobby or at a nearby hotel rather than opening the office at all.

03Is there anywhere better than our tower lobby to meet?

Often, yes. Visitor parking in the clusters is limited and enforced, so a handover at the metro side, at a hotel lobby or on the lakeside promenade can be quicker than a courier finding a bay. If your deadline is tight we will suggest a specific point rather than leaving it to chance.

Estimate your price, live, before you talk to anyone

An indicative calculation on the OBC-One pattern: airline seat, courier duty, hotel where the routing needs one, transfers and handling. Pick any of the airports we serve, adjust the settings, the breakdown updates as you go. Nothing here is a binding price; the airline fare on the day decides the final number.

Three ways the desk can move JLT DMCC

Same courier, same cabin, different amount of ground work. The desk recommends one of these in the quote and prices the other two if you ask.

The lean one

Airport to airport

  • A courier meets your driver airside at the departure airport
  • The consignment stays in the cabin for the whole flight
  • Your consignee, or their broker, collects at the arrival airport
  • Cleared in person, questions answered at the counter

Best when both ends have people who can reach an airport.

What most clients book

Door to door

  • Collection at your address, sealed and photographed
  • One named courier from that door to the signature
  • Customs cleared in person on arrival, duties handled as agreed
  • Proof of delivery with signature, identity check and photograph

The full chain, one price, one person answerable for it.

When the schedule will not do

Charter and relay

  • A second courier takes over where a visa or a duty limit stops the first
  • A private aircraft where the last airline departure has gone
  • Ground relay across a border when flying is the slower option
  • Priced case by case, in writing, before anything moves

For deadlines that a scheduled seat cannot reach.
