Across the TECOM campuses the urgent thing is rarely large, a demo unit, a drive of rushes, a prototype board, a signed licence. It is simply undelayable. The campuses sit on the wrong side of Dubai for the main airport and the right side for very little except the Marina. Dubai International is thirty to forty minutes on Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) or Al Khail Road (E44), and the northbound morning run adds fifteen to twenty without much warning. Al Maktoum International is a comparable thirty to forty minutes in the other direction, so the destination and the routing decide the airport rather than the geography. Getting off the campus itself is quick, Al Sufouh Road and Hessa Street feed the highway within minutes, but the exits back up between five and seven when the office population leaves together. Visitor parking is barrier-controlled in parts of the campus, and a courier without a ticket can lose ten minutes at a boom gate, which is why we ask whether an escort or a visitor pass is needed.
