High frequency is what makes the return date negotiable in practice. When there are many departures a day, the desk is choosing from a spread rather than taking what it can get, and where an assignment does not need you back at once it can place the return leg up to a week after the outbound.
Three hours from Tel Aviv to Dubai, many times a day
On the route data this site runs on, Tel Aviv to Dubai is one of the highest frequency long distance pairs anywhere outside the Gulf itself. Frequency is what gives a desk room to move a date.
Freelance work. You decide on each assignment separately.
What the work consists of
A shipment exists that cannot be sent through a network. It has to remain in one named person's custody, or it expires, or something expensive is stopped until it lands.
So a person is booked onto a flight and carries it in the cabin. They clear it at customs personally, they hand it to a named recipient, and the recipient signs. Between collection and that signature the courier is answerable for it.
In Dubai there is a desk that needs the movement. It pays for the flight, books it in your name against your passport before you leave, and no part of the cost is yours.
Tell us what has to fly. We answer with a flight and a price.
Five short questions. A dispatcher replies with a named departure, the delivery hour and one fixed price, day and night.
- One named courier from collection to signature
- Customs cleared in person on arrival
- Licensed UAE company, proper VAT invoices
A short sector, high frequency, and a flexible return
Tel Aviv to Dubai is 2h 59m and it appears in the route data at a frequency that very few long distance pairs match. Abu Dhabi is 2h 58m. New York is 11h 18m and Bangkok 8h 43m.
If that is how yours is written, the days in the middle are your own. Unpaid, funded by you, with the flight back already reserved.
If it is not, you see that on the offer before accepting. On a three hour sector, same day work is very common and there is nothing lesser about it.
Three departure boards, one desk: Emirates, flydubai and Etihad for your consignment
A hand-carry is only as fast as the next departure. The desk watches three boards at once and books the one that lands first, then holds the one that leaves next.
The night bank out of Terminal 3
Between one and four in the morning Emirates pushes back a wave of widebodies from Terminal 3 that reach Europe before the first meeting and Asia by the afternoon. For your consignment that wave is the reason a courier confirmed at eight in the evening is still delivering the next day.
Widebody only, non-stop to 140 plus citiesThe short sectors, several times a day
From Terminal 2 flydubai runs the one to five hour sectors: the Caucasus, Central Asia, East Africa, the Balkans, the subcontinent. Where a widebody leaves once a day, flydubai often leaves three times, which turns a missed slot into a ninety minute delay rather than a lost day.
Frequency is the fallbackAbu Dhabi as the second runway
Ninety minutes down the E11, Etihad leaves from Zayed International with its own bank of departures and, for the United States, immigration cleared before boarding. When the Dubai departure for your consignment is gone, the desk looks at Abu Dhabi before it looks at tomorrow.
US preclearance at AUHThe desk holds no allegiance to a carrier. The booking goes to whichever board puts a courier at your consignment first, at a fare the quote can carry.
Every hour it waits is an hour it is not moving.
Five questions, one fixed price, a named flight. The desk answers within 15 minutes, day and night, and you decide.
The Israeli gateway in the route data
Israel contributes one origin to the route data. Its destination count is moderate and its departure figure is not, which is the signature of a single gateway serving a whole country.
| Gate | Airport | Nonstop airports | Departures a day |
|---|---|---|---|
| TLV | Tel Aviv Yafo Ben Gurion | 110 | 275 |
Route counts and departure averages are read from the scheduled route statistics the site keeps in obc-network.json, built 2026-09-07 from AeroDataBox scheduled route statistics. Flight times are great circle distance on the curve the rest of this site uses, so treat them as sector length rather than as a timetable.
One gate, worked hard
Tel Aviv shows 110 nonstop destinations on around 275 departures a day. Larnaca at 0h 51m is barely a flight and goes constantly. The European and North American boards are substantial, and the Gulf sectors are the newest and among the busiest.
For courier work a single very busy gateway has an advantage over several quiet ones: everybody in the country is working from the same board, the frequencies are high, and a desk building a routing knows exactly what it is choosing between.
The consignments follow a technology and life sciences economy: semiconductor and electronics components, medical devices and diagnostic material, clinical trial samples, precision instruments, and legal and corporate originals.
The passport, and the routing detail
An Israeli passport crosses much of this network without an advance permission, and the checking that does apply is done by the desk rather than by you.
Requirements are verified against your nationality and the whole routing, including every transit point, before an offer is issued. This matters more here than on most pages in this section, because transit rules vary and a routing that works for one passport may not work for another. It is worked out before you are asked to commit to anything, not after.
If you hold more than one nationality, say so when you apply. It genuinely widens the set of routings you can be offered.
The plain limitations
You would be a freelancer. No employer, no roster, no minimum, and no consequence at all for declining an offer.
No volume can be promised. It depends on what clients ship and nobody knows that in advance, so any number given to you would be made up.
The work is also real work with a deadline. You hold the consignment from collection to signature, you present it at the border yourself, and the timings are the reason a person is doing this rather than a parcel service. Any days a later return leaves you with are unpaid and on your own budget. The two flights, the transfers and a hotel where the routing requires one are covered.

Questions from Israel
01Is the Gulf lane genuinely busy or is that a claim?
It is one of the higher frequency pairs in the route data this site is built on. That is a statement about scheduled aircraft, not about how many assignments exist.
02Does holding a second passport help?
It can, on particular routings. Put every nationality you hold on the application and let the desk work out where each is useful.
03Would I only fly regional sectors?
Tel Aviv has European, North American and Asian boards as well as the Gulf. What is offered follows client demand.
04What happens if a routing turns out not to work for my passport?
It is not offered to you. The check is done before an offer is written, which is the whole reason it is done then rather than at an airport.
If you want to be considered, apply
One form, asking for the passports you hold and a rough sense of when you could travel.
List every nationality you have. From here it makes a real difference.
Applying is not a commitment. Assignments are offered individually in writing, with the routing and both dates visible.
