Courier Terms, independent contractors

For the professionals who fly. Read this before your first assignment; it is the whole deal, and it does not change per job unless we both sign something that says so.

Transparency note: this document is published so clients and couriers can see exactly how we work. It is a working framework, not legal advice; where figures are stated they are our standard defaults and can be varied in a signed agreement. A review by qualified UAE counsel is part of our compliance roadmap and the current version is marked below.

No employment. No guaranteed work. No guaranteed income. Registering as a courier makes you part of an on-call pool of independent contractors. Assignments are offered when demand exists and you are positioned right; you are free to decline any offer, and we make no promise, express or implied, of assignment volume, frequency or earnings. Do not plan your income around this pool; fly with us because the jobs you do take are properly paid and properly run.

1. Engagement, per assignment only

Each assignment is a separate contract for services, formed when you accept the specific offer (route, schedule, fee, expenses). Outside an accepted assignment there is no contractual relationship beyond these standing terms and our confidentiality obligations to each other. You act as an independent contractor: you invoice us, you are responsible for your own taxes, social security and, between assignments, your own insurance.

2. What you must bring

3. Fees and expenses, fully transparent

Every offer states, before you accept: your assignment fee (flat, per assignment, stated in AED), covered expenses, airline ticket booked by us, airport transfers, hotel where the routing requires one, and a per-diem for assignments over 14 hours elapsed, and any special conditions. What the client pays us is our business; what you receive is on your offer sheet in one number plus receipts. Invoices are paid within 14 days of POD and expense documentation.

4. Conduct on assignment

5. Insurance while on assignment

During an accepted assignment you are covered by the courier travel and liability policy for the itinerary we booked. This does not replace your personal health or income insurance between assignments, see the box above; you are self-employed, and gaps between jobs are yours to insure.

6. Ending it

Either side can leave the pool at any time without reason or notice; accepted assignments must still be completed or properly handed back to the desk. We remove couriers from the pool immediately for custody breaches, dishonesty in declarations or security violations, those three are non-negotiable.

7. Law

UAE law, courts of Dubai. Nothing in these terms creates employment, agency beyond the assignment's scope, or partnership.
